Hopefully this is quick, anyway.
I’m Greg Aubry. I work as the Senior Graphic Designer for an award-winning wedding services company in suburban Detroit. I keep busy as a photographer, musician, artist and bunny dad.
Over the last few years, I’ve developed a passion for synthesizers and electronic music. I started developing a YouTube channel called The Analog Lights Music in May of 2015, and it’s been fun to watch it slowly start growing and cultivating an audience of like-minded synth users and listeners.
In Detroit, I’m perhaps best known as a rock vocalist though I also play guitar, bass and keyboards. I’ve played in the original bands Five Years to Live, Dead Letters, and Superbomb in addition to tribute (cover) bands The Axis Mundi Collective (Nirvana album anniversary shows), Playground Twist (Siouxsie & the Banshees) and This Broken Machine (Nine Inch Nails).
I’m into nerd stuff. ’80s and ’90s videogames, comics, Japanese animation (anime), manga, photography and design software (big fan of Adobe Photoshop Lightroom CC), video production; those sorts of things. That’s not terribly special in the 2010s when “The Avengers” and “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” have the biggest theatrical openings of all time. But it is fun.
